Wilkes Chamber of Commerce Rocking Chair Fundraiser

                                                                                                      Currently, the Wilkes Chamber of Commerce is redeveloping its tourism brand. This is the way that tourists perceive the county as a place to visit. By creating a new, modern look that causes action and educates tourists on all of the wonderful things to do in Wilkes, we can increase the number of tourists that come to the county to stay and visit, not just a drive through to other destinations. This will, in turn, increase how attractive Wilkes is to businesses that are looking to move and develop here, bringing well needed jobs and income.

The Rocking Chair fundraiser is a great way to promote a fun tour of our county to our tourists and to spread community pride. It’s easy to be a sponsor. By giving only $150, you will receive your choice of either an adult or children’s rocking chair that will be uniquely designed and painted by a local artist. The chair will be set up at your place of business, making it a go-to stop on this fun and exciting  tour of the county (which will of course, promote your business). You will also receive promotion in the fundraiser map that will be distributed in local businesses as well as on the brochure that will be created for the auction of the chairs during the Brushy Mountain Apple Festival. Through this small sponsorship, you will be receiving around one (1) month of publicity and increased traffic to your business.
